I. Registration of Foreign and Mainland Chinese Investments in Domestic Securities

Number of registrations completed in July 2026:

  • Offshore Foreign Institutional Investors (FINI): 124
  • Onshore FINI: 0
  • Offshore Overseas Chinese and Foreign Individual Investors (FIDI): 1
  • Onshore FIDI: 728
  • Mainland Chinese Investors: 0

Mainland Chinese investors refer to investors from Mainland China who engage in financial investments in Taiwan in accordance with the “Regulations Governing Securities Investment and Futures Trading in Taiwan by Mainland Area Investors.” Currently, only qualified institutional investors approved by the competent authorities for securities, banking, and insurance in Mainland China are permitted to invest in Taiwan.
